Not kidding…my name is Avivi Behel. That would be pronounced “Ah-vee-vah Beel.” That’s why I call my business The Refined Pen.
When I am not scribbling and playing with inks….I love to be with my two wonderful grown daughters and my very sweet hubby. If I’m watching anything – it’s classic movies or shows (faves are Andy Griffith or I Love Lucy …I have an affinity for red heads). If I’m reading – it’s likely to be something that challenges what I think I know about God.
My husband and I also have a heart for supporting groups that relieve physical suffering, provide clean food and water to those in need and who teach people to be self-sustaining with innovative solutions for easing poverty. 10% of all my profits go to support two young women: Oneyda , a wonderful young woman in Honduras who is breaking the cycle of poverty by being the first in her family to attend college and is studying to become a nurse. She and her 5 orphaned siblings have been nurtured by Mark and Lori Connell of The Honduras Project (www.thehondurasproject.org) and Mi Esperanza (www.TheWomenOfMyHope.org); and Purity, an 8 year old girl in Kenya who is served through the Christian Relief Fund (www.ChrsitianReliefFund.org). Oneyda (R) and Lori (L) pictured below.
It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your
neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your
love. And don’t take yourself too seriously –
take God seriously.
